Inspiration behind original artwork:
This painting explores the delicate moment just before someone chooses the vulnerability of opening their heart to another. Bathed in golden light and suspended between certainty and hope, the horizon becomes more than a destination. It becomes a threshold, where two separate paths may choose to become one. A reflection on love, hope, courage and the beauty of not knowing the answer yet, but asking anyway. Presented below are a few poetic fragments from the original poem that inspired this painting:
Golden Passage
-The Poetic Excerpt
A saffron hush upon the sea,
a golden passage revealed to you and me.
The waves rise and fall,
like truths our hearts can softly call.
In their rhythm, so deep, so true,
they seem to say...I found you.
The sun hangs low, a tender guide,
this time by our side.
Reminding us in this amber light,
we might not need all the answers tonight.
So, what if this pause, this view,
this quiet golden moment surrounding you,
is where I stand and you choose me too?
Searching those answers in your lit eyes,
unsure, yet hoping you will recognize.
So let me ask, your heart to mine,
for this life, will you be mine?
